Thank you for testing Tharu Kirana Cloud.

The app shows charts, tables and prints on your computer; the astrology calculations run on our server, so you need an internet connection and the beta account we sent you.

macOS 12 or later. Pick the version for your Mac's chip (Apple menu → About This Mac).

Tharu Kirana 2.5 on this computer? Keep it. Tharu Kirana Cloud is a separate program: it installs alongside and never changes 2.5's files or settings.

Installing the beta

The beta installers are not code-signed yet (signing comes before the full release), so your computer asks you to confirm once.

macOS

Open the downloaded .pkg. If macOS says it "cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer", click Done.
In Finder, right-click (or Control-click) the .pkg → Open → Open.
If there is no Open button: System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, click Open Anyway next to the Tharu Kirana Cloud message.
Do the same the first time you start Tharu Kirana Cloud from Applications, if asked.

Windows

Run TharuKiranaCloud-win-x64-Setup.exe.
If Microsoft Defender SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway.
It installs for your user only (no administrator needed) and adds Desktop and Start-menu shortcuts.

Linux

chmod +x TharuKiranaCloud-linux-x64.AppImage
Run it. If it reports a missing FUSE, install libfuse2 (Ubuntu: sudo apt install libfuse2) or start it with --appimage-extract-and-run.

Good to know

Signing in

Use the e-mail address and password from your beta invitation. Each account can be used on two computers.

Updates

Installed copies check for a new beta when they start, download it quietly and switch to it the next time you open the app. You can also reinstall from this page at any time; your settings are kept.

Known limitations of this beta

No password-reset e-mail yet. Forgot your password? Write to us and we reset it for you.
Charts are saved on your computer (.shdf / .shdm files), not in the cloud. Keep your own backups; the same files open in other copies.
An internet connection is needed for every calculation; without one the app cannot show new charts.
The installers are unsigned (see above).

Reporting a problem

E-mail [email protected] with what you did, what you expected and what happened. A screenshot and your computer type (for example "Windows 11, x64") help a lot. Help → About shows the version.
